What one month at the sanctuary actually costs
Running Shri Hari Hive costs roughly ₹4,50,000 (₹4.5 lakh) every month. That figure covers 47 dogs, fed twice a day, with medical care — it does not include campus construction, which is funded separately as money arrives.
| What it goes on | Approx. per month |
|---|---|
| Food — 94 meals a day, twice daily for 47 dogs | ₹1,80,000 |
| Veterinary care — vaccination, deworming, injuries, mange | ₹1,10,000 |
| Caretakers and daily labour | ₹90,000 |
| Shelter upkeep, water, transport and medicines on hand | ₹70,000 |
| Total, approximately | ₹4,50,000 |
That works out to roughly ₹9,500 per dog per month, or about ₹315 a day for one dog. It is why ₹100 genuinely does feed a dog for a week — and why we ask so plainly. See how to give →
