Updates from the Sanctuary

What is actually happening here — what got built, who got rescued, and exactly where the money went.

We would rather show you a half-built sanctuary honestly than a finished one that doesn't exist. This page is the running record: what the money bought, what is still unbuilt, and what changed this month.

What one month at the sanctuary actually costs

Running Shri Hari Hive costs roughly ₹4,50,000 (₹4.5 lakh) every month. That figure covers 47 dogs, fed twice a day, with medical care — it does not include campus construction, which is funded separately as money arrives.

Approximate monthly running costs at Shri Hari Hive
What it goes onApprox. per month
Food — 94 meals a day, twice daily for 47 dogs₹1,80,000
Veterinary care — vaccination, deworming, injuries, mange₹1,10,000
Caretakers and daily labour₹90,000
Shelter upkeep, water, transport and medicines on hand₹70,000
Total, approximately₹4,50,000

That works out to roughly ₹9,500 per dog per month, or about ₹315 a day for one dog. It is why ₹100 genuinely does feed a dog for a week — and why we ask so plainly. See how to give →

Donations are now open by UPI

You can now donate directly. Pay by UPI to shreeharihivefoundation2296@aubiz — the payee will show as Shree Hari Hive Foundation, which is our registered name. On a phone you can tap an amount on the support page and your UPI app fills in the rest; on a computer you can scan the QR code there.

For a bank transfer, a receipt, or to set up monthly giving, message us on WhatsApp at +91 98739 42296. Card payments and recurring donations are being set up next.

Shri Hari Hive is now a registered Section 8 non-profit

Shree Hari Hive Foundation was granted its licence under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (Licence No. 187747), and is registered on NGO DARPAN with ID PB/2026/1141113. Shri Hari Hive is the public name of that foundation.

In practical terms: donations now go to a registered non-profit rather than an individual, and the accounts are auditable. 80G tax-exemption is still in process — until it is granted we do not claim that donations are tax-deductible, and we will say so here the day that changes.
